Abstract

It is possible to observe the development of autonomous cars, which are making it possible to move from one point to another without the need for a human agent to occupy space inside the vehicle, whether as a driver or passenger. Despite the benefits, it should be noted that such vehicles are not exempt from accidents, causing damage. It is believed that article 12 of the Consumer Protection Code is capable of making up for the lack of specific legislation. This work was carried out with the support of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel – Brazil (CAPES) – Financing Code 001 and is the result of research carried out by the authors in the “Corporate Law Center” research group.
